Leah

Leah was one of the two wives of Jacob, the son of Isaac and Rebecca. She was the daughter of Laban and had a sister named Rachel. Leah is noted for bearing Jacob several children, becoming the matriarch of the tribes of Israel.[GEN 29:16][GEN 29:23][GEN 29:31]

1. Marriage to Jacob

   Leah was married to Jacob after being deceived by her father Laban, who substituted her for her sister Rachel on Jacob's wedding night.[GEN 29:23][GEN 29:24]

2. Birth of Children

   Leah bore Jacob six sons: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun, and a daughter named Dinah.[GEN 29:32][GEN 30:20]

3. Departure from Laban

   Leah and her children left Laban's household with Jacob, prompted by a divine command and Jacob's desire to return to his homeland.[GEN 31:4]
