Benjamin (patriarch)

Benjamin was the youngest son of Jacob and Rachel, and the founder of the Tribe of Benjamin. He was born shortly before Rachel's death, which led to his being named Ben-oni, meaning 'son of my sorrow,' though Jacob later renamed him Benjamin, meaning 'son of the right hand.'[GEN 35:18][GEN 35:24]
